Owen leads the Food & Beverage Industry Executive Recruiting Practice at Kaye/Bassman International, recognized as the ninth largest executive recruiting firm in the United States. His expertise lies in consulting for prominent food and beverage companies such as Kraft Heinz and Keurig Dr Pepper, guiding them in the development of high-performing teams. He specializes in placing senior executives in Research & Development, Food Safety, and Quality Assurance roles, helping organizations build robust leadership within these critical areas.
Before joining Kaye/Bassman in January 2016, Owen accumulated extensive experience in Research & Development leadership positions. He served as Vice President of External Innovation at Avery Dennison, where he drove innovation initiatives and partnerships. At PepsiCo, he held the role of Director of R&D and Open Innovation, focusing on advancing new product development and fostering creative solutions. Additionally, as Section Head of R&D and Clinical Design at Procter & Gamble, Owen managed teams dedicated to pioneering new clinical and product designs.
Throughout his career, Owen has led teams of scientists and engineers to successfully develop and commercialize innovative products. Among his significant accomplishments is the development of Align, which has become the number one doctor-recommended probiotic brand. Align is used by millions of consumers to support their gut health, reflecting Owen’s impact in delivering products that enhance consumer well-being and set industry standards.
